Baking during the fall season is a beloved pastime for many. We’re excited to fill our homes with the scents and colors of warm and comforting seasonal dishes. We’ve put together a few fall recipes featuring treats that highlight some of our favorite herbs. Earl Grey Shortbread Cookies

Now you can turn your favorite cup of tea into a delicious cookie. Enjoy this classic treat with a definitive fall twist.
3/4 pound unsalted butter, room temperature
Two tablespoons of Smallflower Earl Grey Tea
1 cup sugar, plus extra for sprinkling
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
- Place butter in a small saucepan over low heat until melted. Stir in earl grey tea. Stirring slowly, allow the tea to infuse into the butter for about ten minutes.
- Remove from heat and pour the melted butter through a sieve to remove the tea leaves. Some small pieces may remain in the butter.
- Chill the butter until solid again, then remove from the fridge and bring back to room temperature.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Mix together the butter and 1 cup sugar until they are combined. Add the vanilla. In a medium bowl, sift together the flour and salt, then add to the butter and sugar mixture. Mix until the dough just starts to come together. Pour dough onto a surface dusted with flour and shape into a flat disk. Wrap in plastic and chill for 30 minutes.
- Roll the dough out into a half-inch thick sheet and cut with a cookie cutter.
- Place the cookies on an ungreased baking sheet and dust with extra sugar. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until the edges just begin to brown.
Lavender Lemon Bars

Make these easy and aromatic treats with one of the most popular herbs out there. Lavender adds a subtle floral flavor to these tart bars.
3/4 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup ground almonds
2 teaspoons dried Smallflower Lavender Flowers
2 teaspoons grated lemon zest
½ teaspoon almond extract
1-3/4 cups sugar
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
4 large eggs
1/3 cup lemon juice
- In a small bowl, cream butter and confectioners’ sugar. Add the flour, almonds, lavender and lemon zest; beat until crumbly. Pat into an ungreased 13×9-in. baking dish. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
- While the crust bakes, combine the sugar, flour, baking soda, eggs and lemon juice in another small bowl. Beat until frothy. Pour over hot crust. Bake at 350° for 20-25 minutes or until light golden brown.
- Cool on a wire rack. Dust with confectioners’ sugar.
- Refrigerate leftovers.
Energy Bliss Balls

3/4 cup walnuts
3/4 cup almonds
8 dates pitted + soaked in hot water
1/8 cup chia seeds
1-1/2 tablespoons Nature’s Way Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
1-1/2 tablespoons maple syrup
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon Sunfood Superfoods Organic Raw Maca Powder
1 tablespoon Host Defense Stamets 7 Mushroom Powder
2 teaspoons ashwagandha powder
- Grind nuts in a food processor.
- Strain dates from water and add to nuts. Pulse until paste consistency forms.
- Add the rest of the ingredients and pulse until mixed well.
- Form into balls. Roll in shredded coconut or cacao powder.
- Keep refrigerated and enjoy!
